digitalmusician.net login errors

During April 2010 I have problems creating an account/logging in to the web site. After filling all the required fields and entering captcha I did not receive any email message about my account being set up, and I could not login to the website for about a week. I tried to get a pass reminder but this feature did not work.

Now I'm logged in and feeling fine, but my partner who is a member of digitalmusician.net since its early days still could not login until today since her last visit a couple of months ago. I am posting this topic on behalf of my partner, to let admins know about the bug on the web site. My partner tried the "Request new password" many times entering her username, and an email with a new pass never arrived in her mailbox. Only when she entered her email address instead of username, the email arrived immediately.

Since "Request new password" dialogue allows entering Username OR email address, I believe most people who forgot their passes enter their usernames and experience the same problem, as my partner and I did until we figured out that we better try entering our email addresses instead.

On the digitalmusician.net web site during those days I saw a strange info: 0 users and 80 guests online. Since there's a little a guest can do on the web site until he logs in, I believe it's a sign that some people are experiencing problems with login and are unable to request help. My partner and I thought we need to tell about this problem to web site admins to help other people join the company. DMN is great!
