DMC crashes every time when starting up

Using Mac OSX 10.5.8. When trying to start DMC, the application scans for plugings and then crashes. Tried to abort scanning by pressing abort button but crashes anyway.
Using M-Audio ProjectMix I/O Interface (Firewire) on MacPro Dual Quadcore with 10GB RAM.
